As part of our ongoing commitment to water education, Central Coast Council is proud to offer a FREE Water Saving Show for Kindergarten to Year 2 students across Central Coast schools.
About the “Love Water” Show
The Love Water Show is a fast-paced, colourful, and interactive 45–50 minute performance packed with water-saving messages, songs, and science. Designed to engage young minds, the show blends education with entertainment to leave a lasting impression on students.
Highlights include:
- Creating water in a safe but explosive science reaction.
- Powering a flower shower with singing and laughter.
- Watching Eddy the AquaBot make elephant-sized toothpaste while teaching kids to save water when brushing.
- Learning about the Water Cycle and our Oceans.
- Covering Professor Puddle in toilet paper in a hilarious water-themed experiment.
- Discovering everyday ways we can all love and save water.
It’s funny, a little messy, and packed with fun science—guaranteed to have students talking about water saving for weeks.
What Students Learn
Students explore how we use water, how we sometimes waste it, and simple ways they can become water-wise in their daily lives. The session leaves them feeling empowered, informed, and motivated to make a difference.

Primary School Water Education Program
The Environmental Education team has designed a new and innovative primary school program focused on water conservation and education. The program is tailored to address syllabus links in the NSW curriculum for Stage 3 Science Digital Technologies, and Stage 3 Maths Whole Numbers 2 and Data 1.
Smart Water Data Logger
Would your school like to see how much water is being used or lost each day and night? Central Coast Council is providing a FREE Smart Water Data Logger installation to schools for up to two months. Schools will also get curriculum linked educational resources and two poster size graphs for collecting data.

Water Audit Activity
How does your school use water? Students are challenged to investigate how and where your school uses the most water.
Drain or not to Drain
How does soil impact our water on the Central Coast? Students experiment with three types of soil to understand this interaction.
The Drip Trip
This activity provides an interactive immersion into how the Central Coast Water Supply works. Students become experts in various components of the water supply system while adding their specific items to the diagram along the way.
Waterwise Garden
Students get to measure, audit and collect data about the water efficiency of the gardens at school. How waterwise is your schools garden? Let’s dig in!
Running Dry
Groundwater bores are used all around Australia to access water. Students get to use a simulation to learn more about bores and the potential impacts on the environment.
