Portable drinking water stations
Central Coast Council offers a range of portable drinking water stations available for hire by the local community. These stations provide free access to clean tap water at public events, helping to keep attendees hydrated while promoting sustainability.
Three options available:
- Bottle refill stations – Ideal for refilling reusable bottles, reducing single-use plastic waste (access to an outdoor tap is required).
- Bubbler stations – Traditional drinking fountains for quick access to water (access to an outdoor tap is required).
- Refillable water coolers - Perfect for events without access to an outdoor tap. Fill with ice and tap water for convenient refills.
Requirements:
- Access to an outdoor tap is required for bottle refill and bubbler stations. Multiple units can connect to a single tap for larger events.
- Drinking water stations are compact and can fit laid down on the back seat of most vehicles. For multiple station hire, a station wagon, utility, or trailer may be required for transportation.
- Water coolers will become heavy once filled with water, ensure safe handling when filling and transporting.
- After use, water coolers must be cleaned thoroughly with dishwashing liquid and water, then dried completely before return.
Terms of hire
Each request is assessed on a case-by-case basis. The following conditions apply:

- The event must be community-focused (private parties are not eligible).
